Abstract
The purpose of this document is to focus attention on the key role of e-Infrastructure
for research and innovation. In particular, the continued success of national policy on
research and development (R&D) needs sustainable infrastructures. This applies at
national, European and global levels, so it is important that in Ireland we make the
right decisions so as to leverage transnational investments, while at the same time
exploiting the unique strengths of Ireland.
