Abstract
The crosswell EM technology was presented. Simulations for crosshole EM imaging in carbonates for a water alternating gas process where the technique is used for initial site characterization and to monitor saturation changes during the injection were described. A numerical simulation was conducted to test the sensitivity of crosswell EM to CO 2 flooding in Permian basin conditions. The water flood was more a tractable case. It was feasible to track injected water following a CO 2 flood but probably not the CO 2 flood itself.
