Abstract

Ultrafast Forster energy transfer in poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene)(PFO) doped with tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP) was investigated. Singlet exciton decay was shown to affect the dynamics observed in the pure PFO. Forster energy transfer from PFO to TPP was found to be efficient due to the good overlap between PFO emission and TPP absorption spectra.
