Abstract

We report the first synthesis of a soluble selenophene containing porphyrazine derivative, tetraselenophenoporphyrazine (SePz). Thin films of SePz exhibit a broad and strong absorption in the visible to near-IR region, which is red shifted compared to the thiophene analogue, and demonstrate p-type carrier mobilities of 10-2 cm2 V-1 s -1 in bottom gate, bottom contact field effect transistors. © 2013 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
