Abstract
Synthesis of telechelic dimethylsiloxane-ethylene oxide-dimethylsiloxane triblock copolymers is described. From commercial α,ω-dihydroxy poly(ethylene oxide), three steps are required to obtain this telechelic α,ω-disilanol-ended copolymer. These polymers are potentially suitable as difunctional precursors in crosslinking processes.
