Abstract

The ongoing decline of coral reef ecosystems has stimulated new research to improve current coral reef conservation and restoration methods. In this book, we have focused on the potential of omics technologies to inform and improve coral reef conservation and restoration actions and to monitor the success of such initiatives. This closing chapter highlights the importance of integration among the various omics approaches and data types discussed in this book to advance human activities aimed at conserving and improving the resilience of reef-building corals.
