Abstract
A series of materials for field effect transistors (FETs), with pyrene at the core and four substituted thiophene arms of different lengths (1-3 thiophene units) have been synthesized using Suzuki cross-coupling reactions and characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV-vis absorption, emission spectroscopy, and in one case by X-ray crystallography.
