Abstract

The reaction of CuOtBu with PMe3 and Bi(SiMe3)3 in hexane yields the phosphine-stabilized complex [(Me3Si)2Bi-Cu(PMe3)3]. This synthesis gave rise to the first binuclear Bi-Cu compound to be structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography.
