Abstract

In this paper we use an efficient formulation for the problem of scattering by a nanoegg to study the effect of the aspect ratio and the core displacement on the nanoegg resonance properties. The formulation is in the quasistatic regime and utilizes the spherical harmonic translation relations in order to arrive at system of equations in the spherical harmonic expansion coefficients of the potential function that can be efficiently and accurately solved. © 2011 IEEE.
