    Abstract

The proton transfer in anhydrous system via vinylimidazole group is focused. The 1:1 blend systems between a series of poly (acrylic acid)-co-poly (vinylimidazole) with various contents of poly (vinylimidazole) and sulfonated poly (ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) are prepared as membranes to study how the membrane possibly functions as polymer electrolyte membrane. The vinylimidazole content for above 30% shows a certain level of proton conductivity in the level of 10-3 S/cm.
