Abstract

Selective oxidation of propane to acrolein over prepared MoMxOn (M = Cr, Co, Zn, Mn, Nb, Ce) catalysts was studied at different temperatures. MoO3 phase was the main phase in all catalysts except MoNbxOn. MoCo0.1On was the best catalyst among all for selective oxidation. Yield of acrolein could reach 9.3% at 773 K. According to relation of catalyst activity with structures of catalysts, MoO3 phase played an important role in the reaction.
