Abstract

The synthesis and structures of four new compounds are reported. [Cu 2(2-sba)(dppm) 2] (1), [Ag 4(2-sba) 2(PPh 3) 4] (2), [Ag 2(2-sbaH) 2(PPh 3) 4] (3), [Ag(2-sbaH)(PPh 3) 3] (4) (2-sbaH 2 = 2-sulfobenzoic acid) were prepared by treatment of 2-sulfobenzoic acid anhydride with metal salts under anhydrous conditions (1, 2) and in the presence of water (3, 4).
