Abstract

Prestac k migration deconvolution (MD) is applied to 2-D and 3-D depth migrated images computed from synthetic models and field data. The results show that prestack MD improves resolution and reduces migration artifacts. Sub- dividing the migration image and using m ulti-reference migration Green's function accoun tsfor lateral velocity variations and attenuates some far-field artifacts.
