Abstract
We generalize the vector-acoustic imaging methods to minimize the impact of the noise when processing the multi-measurement marine seismic data. We also study the special case of single measurement optimal acoustic imaging, while taking into account the statistics of the noise. After describing the theory of our approach, we apply it to realistic synthetic multisensor data (North Sea) using a research prototype of reverse time migration (RTM) in which realistic noise was added to the data. Numerical examples demonstrate the efficacy of our proposed approach and show the benefit of multisensor imaging in terms of residual deghosting, denoising, and migration swings removal.
