Abstract

Nitrides are attractive materials not only for energy saving devices such as LEDs and LDs but also clean energy devices. Nitride photocatalysts are possible to produce "clean hydrogen" from water splitting using light energy. Furthermore nitride photocatalysts can reduce CO2 which causes the global warming. In nitride photocatalysis, CO2 has changed into hydrocarbons as "renewable energy".
