Abstract

In this chapter, we consider multi-stage optimization of decision and inhibitory trees relative to a sequence of cost functions, and two applications of this technique: study of decision trees for sorting problem and study of totally optimal (simultaneously optimal relative to a number of cost functions) decision and inhibitory trees for modified decision tables from the UCI ML Repository.
