Abstract

A signal transceiving method in a communication system and a device thereof are provided to combine an adaptive modulation mode with switching diversity technology, thereby efficiently sending data as ensuring reliability and realizing low complexity. A receiver comprises as follows. A transceiver(201) receives signals through plural antennas, and transmits a determined modulation mode to a transmitter. An SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) measurer(203) measures SNRs of each antenna for the received signals. An antenna path selector(205) selects an antenna for receiving the received signals. A modulation mode determiner(207) determines the modulation mode by using an SNR for the selected antenna.
