Abstract

In article number 1600081, Alnassar et al. introduce a flexible and transparent magnetoelectric nanocomposite made of magnetostric‐tive galfenol nanowires inside piezoelectric P(VDF‐TrFE). The large magnetostriction of the galfenol nanowires gives the composite superior magnetoelectric performance. A magnetic field treatment is used to align the nanowires inside the polymer matrix, providing tunable, anisotropic properties. Applications of this material include magnetic field sensing and multisource energy harvesting.
