Abstract
The evolution of nanoscale structures on surfaces of copper thin films was presented. The structure dimension was shown to be controlled by the 3D ES barrier and can be increased by the introduction of indium as surfactant. The results provided indirect evidence on the existence of the 3D ES barrier and the feasibility of its modification through surfactants.
