Abstract

The review concerns the state of the art in and prospects for the development of chemistry of a new class of porous compounds, homochiral metal-organic coordination polymers. Main approaches to the synthesis and structure determination of such systems by X-ray diffraction analysis, as well as stability of metal-organic frameworks and supra- molecular chemistry of host ± guest inclusion compounds are considered. Prospects for practical application of these compounds first of all for enantioselective resolution and catalysis are discussed. The bibliography includes 175 references
