Abstract

The paper proposes a Gaussian approximation for the self-interference term which affects the synchronization performance of chaos-based DS-CDMA systems. The moments of the self-interference are considered and shown to converge quite rapidly to those of a Gaussian random variable. Numerical simulations confirm the viability of this approach.
