Abstract

Is two better than one? The recent discovery of a homogeneous catalytic system for alkane metathesis is analyzed and compared to other existing systems. The new catalytic system is a combination of two catalysts that carry out dehydrogenation/hydrogenation and olefin metathesis (see scheme). (Figure Presented).
