Abstract

Fabrication of multiple-wavelength lasers in InGaAs/InGaAsP structures using direct laser writing was studied. The analysis was performed using pulsed-photoabsorption-induced disordering (P-PAID) technique in order to achieve different degrees of intermixing. The superior performance and simplicity of this technique was demonstrated by the use of direct laser writing to the specific area with different energy densities without the use of any intermixing masks.
