Abstract
We present a comprehensive study of low temperature magnetic relaxation in a variety of magnetic systems. We show data for both logarithmic relaxation (many-barrier problem) and exponential decay of magnetization (single-barrier problem). Our key observation is the non-thermal character of the relaxation below a few kelvin. Our data on the exponential relaxation provide, for the first time, an opportunity for a precise comparison between theory and experiment.
