Abstract
The complete genome sequences among eubacteria that reveal the genome structures when orders of the orthologous genes were examined. Even without operons, gene orders have not been conserved, with the exception to only cases such as ribosomal operons. The ancestral genome structure of eubacteria and archaebacteria were reconstructed. The relative instability of the genome structures were examined.
