Abstract

Correction to Supporting Information for “Direct and continuous generation of pure acetic acid solutions via electrocatalytic carbon monoxide reduction,” by Peng Zhu, Chuan Xia, Chun-Yen Liu, Kun Jiang, Guanhui Gao, Xiao Zhang, Yang Xia, Yongjiu Lei, Husam N. Alshareef, Thomas P. Senftle, and Haotian Wang, which published December 30, 2020; 10.1073/pnas.2010868118 (Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 118, e2010868118). The authors note that Fig. S15 in the SI Appendix and its corresponding legend appeared incorrectly. Specifically, the CV scans in Fig. S15B inadvertently displayed the same data as Fig. S15A. The authors note: “Here we updated the panel b with the actual CV scans of the medium size Cu NCs. The ECSA data of different sized Cu NCs were summarized in panel d, which was correct and not affected after updating the panel b with the correct CV scan. The conclusion of our manuscript is not affected by this update.” The corrected legend appears below: Supplementary Fig. 15. Electrochemical surface area characterization. (a-c) ECSA measurements of small (a), medium (b), and large (c) Cu NC catalysts conducted in Ar-purged 0.5M KHCO3 in H-cell. (d) ECSA concluded from the CV scans in a, b and c. The authors also note that Fig. S22 in the SI Appendix appeared incorrectly. Specifically, Fig. S21 was mistakenly copied into Fig. S22. The authors note that this error does not affect the rest of the manuscript, and no experimental data were added, removed, or replaced. The SI Appendix has been corrected online.
