Abstract
Regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophenes) with amino end groups are synthesized. These novel end-functional polythiophenes are capable of interacting with CdSe nanocrystals and thereby enhancing the dispersion of CdSe nanocrystals and enabling the formation of intimate nanocomposites with favorable morphologies. Using these functionalized polythiophene can allow making more efficient solar cell devices with less CdSe nanocrystals. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 228th ACS National Meeting (Philadelphia, PA, 8/22-26/2004).
