Abstract

In this chapter, we consider decision trees for diagnosis of constant faults at inputs of gates in circuits. We study the depth of diagnostic decision trees for arbitrary, specially constructed, and iteration-free circuits. We investigate the complexity of diagnostic decision tree construction, consider two-mode operation of circuits, and describe optimal bases for 40 closed classes of Boolean functions.
