Constrained Kirchhoff migration of cross-well seismic data

Abstract

A constrained prestack Kirchhoff integral migration method is applied to crosswell reflection data. The migrated section for a real data set suggests that crosswell migration reveals much greater lithologic detail relative to the surface seismic image or the traveltime tomogram.
