Abstract

A theoretical approach to the characterization of the transport and optical properties of organic oligomer and polymer thin films is introduced. This approach is based on a correlated treatment of interchain interactions. The application of this approach to two prototypical oligomeric materials, α-sexithienyl and α,α′-bisdithieno [3,2-b:2′,3′-d]thiophene, is discussed.
