Abstract

Accurate calculation of the scattering and absorption by metal nanoparticles are important for the exploitation of the localized surface plasmon resonance. This paper summarizes the work being undertaken to calculate scattering and absorption efficiencies of various shape noble metal nanoparticles in free-space and on high refractive index substrates. © 2011 IEEE.
