Abstract

Performance of the optimum noncoherent FSK diversity combining receiver was discussed and compared with Rayleigh fading channels. Average bit error probability was studied. Results showed that the traditional noncoherent EGC scheme is very close to optimality even for a large unbalance in the average channel fading powers.
