Abstract

Geomaterials are unique and complex host media for environmental processes. These multi-phase systems are prone to double layer formation, sorption, ion exchange, and multi gradient coupling. Geophysical methods, in particular those based on wave propagation, present important advantages for site assessment and for contamination/remediation process monitoring in the geo-environment.
