Abstract

This work proposes a ramp generator with ramp trimming control bits for a quick response of PWM DC-DC buck converter for IoT applications. Due to the addition of ramp trimming control bits, the ramp frequency of 2 MHz has been achieved. The frequency range is from 1.41 MHz to 3.998 MHz for the control bits from to . A 2 MHz frequency has been achieved for the control bit . The output voltage of 1.2V has been achieved with an input voltage of 1.8 V. The load current supplied is between 0-200 mA. The proposed DC-DC buck converter is designed in a 180 nm CMOS process with an active area of 200 μm X 170 μm.
