The use of these statistical methodologies helps clarify that the application fields which are most likely to benefit from chaos-based techniques are those where the statistical properties of the signals are the dominant factor. Additionally, the same tools are also the key factor in developing the quantitative models needed to control the statistical features of the processes generated by discrete-time chaotic systems.
