Description

The Nano Energy Awards were established by the Elsevier International Conference on Nanoenergy and Nanosystems (NENS) in 2014, and the awards are given once every two years. He was selected for his work on the understanding of light-matter interaction, including his work on photon management for light-harvesting devices such as photodetectors, solar cells, LEDs and photoelectrochemical cells. He has also made great strides in the field of optoelectronics of 2D materials through the use of photon management. Awarded while at KAUST.
