Research Overview

My research interests lie in the multi-disciplinary area of computational imaging, which aims at designing next-generation imaging systems (photography, microscopy, etc.) with a joint optics/computation method. This research involves both hardware encoding design and software decoding design from a systematic view. My current research focuses on simplifying the optical system by state-of-the-art optical and computational techniques, ranging from macro scale, micro scale, to nanoscale. Specifically, I am working on diffractive optics, phase imaging, wavefront sensing, spectral imaging, and etc.
