​Professor Heeney’s research interests are focused upon the design, synthesis and characterization of solution processed materials and polymers for a range of applications in electronics, energy generation and storage and sensors. His research is highly multi-disciplinary and collaborative covering aspects of organic, polymer and materials chemistry with a central goal of establishing relationships between molecular design, synthetic methodology, processing and performance.
