Research Overview

​Dr Johansen's main research interests are focused on processing and analyzing high spatial resolution remotely sensed multi-spectral, hyper-spectral, LiDAR and thermal image data acquired from satellite, airborne and UAV based sensors to extract ecologically meaningful information. Geographic Object-Based Image Analysis is a key research focus used for image analysis of these datasets. The majority of mapping applications are focused on agricultural environments.
