Professor Hoteit's research focuses on the effective use and integration of dynamical models and observations to simulate, study and predict earth fluid systems. This involves developing and implementing numerical models and data inversion, assimilation, and uncertainty quantification techniques suitable for large scale applications. Current research projects include: Modeling, understanding and predicting the Red Sea physics and biology Predicting marine and weather extreme events (storm surge, flooding, tsunami) Reservoir history matching.
