The Workshops provide advanced design, equipment and manufacturing to assist in the fabrication of customized experimental tools and equipment for KAUST users and industrial partners. The facility features workshops and staff specializing in engineering and design utilizing CAD software, advanced machine shop technology, scientific glass blowing, welding, woodworking, electronics and metrology.

The Workshops features facilities and staff specializing in machining, woodworking, welding, scientific glassblowing, electronics, and metrology. These workshops produce a wide range of components from precision parts to large fabricated assemblies, many of which operate in a variety of hostile environments, cryogenic temperatures and high vacuums.
