Organization profile

With a collective mission at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) to drive cutting-edge research, innovation, and to create local/global impact through applied sciences, KAUST has launched a new strategic initiative in the field of “Smart Health”.

Through the integration of basic scientists, clinical investigators, and innovative technologies, the KAUST Smart Health Initiative aims at creating the ecosystem required to foster highly collaborative “bench to bedside” research and capacity building programs with the greatest potential to transform the practice of healthcare, improve human health, and drive both our fundamental understanding of disease mechanisms and precision medicine in the Kingdom.  The Initiative has begun on January 1, 2020, with a pre-launch phase focused on identifying clinical partners and projects that will form the building blocks for the larger-scale program.
