Description
Expertise in marine operations, oceanographic instrumentation and wet lab experimentation.
The Coastal and Marine Resources Core Lab specializes in marine operations, oceanographic instrumentation and wet lab experimentation. It features equipment and manpower support for scientific expeditions including diving, field sampling and instrument deployment.
This lab operates and maintains small boats and a research vessel for oceanographic research and modern wet lab facilities for aquarium based experiments. We also offer access to engineering and focused technical services to the scientists and research project teams for novel R&D activities.
The lab is a complete marine station with facilities and personnel strategically located on the KAUST academic campus. This enables lab users to transition between labs and academic offices in a matter of minutes.
